It's all about garters.....

The last few weeks have whizzed past in a blur, but I've muddled on with my moody winter self......trying hard to stay on task. Definitely would love to be working with someone else, for motivation and feedback, but hey I guess that's where the internet is some kind of substitute.

So my current red suspender corset is coming along nicely, I used the garter tutorial from the Bridges on the Body blog, which is very simple but look fantastic!

I'm not going with traditional garter clips this time preferring the industrial look of actual suspender clips.........

So not much left to do, a couple more garters, eyelets and a floating modesty panel. Should get it finished this week - that equalsYay!!

*My next project is already cut out and ready to go, you may have guessed by my preparedness that I'm supper keen to get started. I will be putting in my first swing hook closures, since I love trying new things I'm really looking forward to this. Also over the next week or so I will be putting my corset dress patterns to the test with a couple of mock ups.

Houndstooth & Lace

Here is the other underbust corset I had Rachel wear for our speedy shoot.....

I know she looks gorgeous in everything - but I particularly love this outfit on her. Awww our shoot was soo much fun, man I will miss her - but hey skype really makes it easy to stay connected (my new favorite thing since Christchurch dispersed my fellow residence all over the place).

Celtic Rites....

So I actually did manage to do some quick snaps before my lovely friend/model Rachel dashed away for her big OE (at the eleventh hour of course, but hey that makes it exciting).

I've had a play, and here is what I've got so far:-

Went for a lovely wintry styling and edited it to look a little magical/fantasy......have some great shots of Rachel with her hands up looking very mystical, and some gorgeous seated ones (maybe I'll edit those at some stage as well).

Definitely starting to think I'd like a better camera for my tinkering, though I do plan to get a professional photographer on board this year for a few shoots (but that's secret squirrel for now).

Snow Days......it's a winter wonderland!

Snow Days = venturing out into our own little Narnia for some snowball fights and general hooliness.......

Though really it's much more comfy inside beside the fire......brrrrrr!

Long Weekend...

The main thing on my cards of late has been my order for Niki, which is finally finishing up. Time to give you a wee teaser, though you'll have to wait a bit longer to see the whole outfit....

Interesting colour for a wedding, normally I get burgundy and red requests.......that said I did sneak in a bit of that typical palette via the lining (has a nice colour blast on the inside) ;)

And just because here's a picture of something from my garden before it all started deflating and dying off for winter.....so beautiful and green!

It's the long weekend, so it's time for lots of recreational activities - by this I mean extended periods in my dressing gown lingering by the fire. Ok maybe I can extended myself a little with kitchen witchery, reading and crafts. But otherwise it's definitely a restful time, enjoying my family and recouping some of my energy.
