End of year sum up....

This year has been a year of change....it's contained lots of personal and family milestones and has reminded me there is nothing more constant then you guessed it change! I'm sure a lot of you out there also experienced some of this for yourself in 2017!

So onto the sewing stuffs:-
I have recently gotten back a studio space in which to work, and man am I excited - you could even say it has renewed my creative interest which seems to have dwindled severely of late. I can't say sewing at my kitchen table really floated my boat or left me much room to really be all that productive. Fingers crossed for much creativity and productivity in 2018!

Ive been busy moving somethings around, my workroom has moved into the garage, so not much sewing and more organising/planning at the moment unfortunately. But I did do a shoot for the port of a lovely MUA recently with Valentina Grim and a few other girls.

Lady Ga Ga

This is pretty exciting news..... 

A few months back I was asked to provide accessories for a fitting for no other then Lady Ga Ga herself. And though this was exciting enough, I was to hear also that it would be in conjunction with the show American Horror Story - double whammy!!!! Some time past and then WOOOHOO  there she was in her bloody glory wearing one of my 'Victorian Lace' Collar's for a photo shoot in Entertainment Weekly!

Canterbury Collections May 2014

Wow.... Canterbury Collections came and went so quickly, it was an amazing experience and I enjoyed meeting all the lovely models and having a reason to sew my butt off. I'm even thinking about doing it all again in October!!!!

I do need a wee rest the last few weeks prior to the show were a bit mad, my industrial sewing machine broke so had to sew my treasures on my domestic machine at the kitchen table while also having all the children home for school holidays. Very busy times, but it all got done and seemed to be a wonderful success......so I'm pretty proud of myself!

~Everything bar the white shirt on the first male (which I would have also made if I hadn't run out of time) is authentic Forge Fashion made right here in my wee studio or at my kitchen table.......and I do mean that literally, I was sewing right up till it was time to dress the models!~

Location, Location....

Ok it's not really so much that I want to shoot in a Cemetery it's just so handy being a hop skip and a jump away with beautiful back drops like this Trompe l'oeil (I think I have a previous blog post about this).....and since I am definitely enjoying my 'amateur' photography excursions more and more it has become the 'go to' location:-

I keep meaning to blog more, so I think I'm going to have to schedule it in for myself......because I keep getting busy and forgetting, well more distracted actually (maybe if I curbed my pinterest addiction a little I would have more time when I'm online)! LOL ;P
